Wheelchair Duck Hunt

For an outdoorsman in a wheelchair to go duck hunting in Tennessee... three very important things are necessary. We tell them all.

For an outdoorsman in a wheelchair to go duck hunting in Tennessee… three very important things are necessary.

First, there has to be a good place to hunt. No problem there since the TWRA provides wheelchair access to five duck blinds across the state. Next, you need some volunteers to help the hunters. Again, that’s no problem…after all this is the Volunteer state, and there’s a group called the Wheelin’ Sportsmen ready to lend a hand.

Finally… you need big flocks of ducks. And, as long as the weather cooperates, that’s usually not a problem either, since the TWRA gives migrating ducks a welcoming invitation. From show #2410.
