Panther Creek Junior Rangers

Fun adventures outdoors help young people form lasting connections with nature through the Tennessee State Parks' Junior Ranger program.

One of the best ways to preserve our natural heritage is to teach people the importance of caring for the wild at an early age. That’s one of the goals of the Junior Ranger program run by Tennessee State Parks. As Wild Side Guide Ken Tucker discovered, becoming a Junior Ranger is an opportunity for kids to get outside and have a good time, while also learning about how we are all connected to nature.

There are several ways you can become a Junior Ranger. Either attend a Junior Ranger camp at a Tennessee State Park or complete an adventure guide. You can get an adventure guide at any state park office or download one here. Upon completion of the program you will take the Junior Ranger pledge, receive your badge and be sworn in as an official Tennessee State Park Junior Ranger!
