Earlier this year we found a place in West Tennessee that was a big surprise. This hidden jewel nestled along the banks of the Mississippi River, just north of Memphis, is filled with big trees, big fish and, believe it or not, big hills! It’s the Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, and every spring folks gather there to celebrate a great place to enjoy the outdoors at the Shelby Forest Spring Fest. To learn more about next year’s Spring Fest, you can follow them on their Facebook page.
Keeping places like Meeman-Shelby Forest beautiful for all to enjoy takes a lot of work. If you are interested in helping out, joining the Meeman-Shelby “Friends of the Forest” group is a great way to lend a hand.
