Hiwassee Ocoee Pickin in the Park

Returning to her roots, a musically talented ranger opens up opportunities for other musicians near her mountain home. All those who gather near the Hiwassee and Ocoee Rivers benefit from the beautiful Bluegrass music that blends seamlessly with the sounds of the flowing waters.

The Ocoee and Hiwassee rivers are very different… but flowing harmoniously within a short distance of one another. Together, the rivers offer many options to visitors… much like a duet… playing different parts but blending perfectly..
They are center stage in Southeast Tennessee… but surrounded by mountains of opportunities for outdoor adventure, starting at the Ocoee Hiwassee State Park.
And when you bring in a musically talented ranger with local roots… something new happens.

It was the first Pickin in the Park event at the Hiwassee Ocee State Park… but certainly not the last one.
You don’t have to be a recording star to come pick and sing… it’s all about having a good time…and everybody is invited to listen.
