Virgin Falls is a favorite destination for hikers from across the country. For many years the land around the falls has been held in a public/private partnership. While the state owned the timber rights, the deed to the land belonged to the Tabor Timber Company and three other families.
Today, efforts are underway to protect that land by purchasing the deed. Wild Side Guide Ken Tucker takes to the trail with members of the Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation…people working to ensure wild places like Virgin Falls will still be around for our children to experience.
