Caney Fork Firsts

High Octane Fishing Guide Joey Monteleone takes a slow drift to discover some new experiences on the Caney Fork River. His teacher on this trip is Susan Thrasher!

There’s a first time for everything!  In this case, Joey Monteleone  experiences several new things during a fishing trip on the Caney Fork River.  Joey is, of course, a high octane bass fisherman and expert.  But this time, he shifts into low gear for a slow drift and a relaxing, yet exciting adventure with professional guide, Susan Thrasher.  Susan shows Joey some of the methods she uses for fishing success.  Susan says you don’t have to be all that coordinated to learn to fly fish, you just have to practice.  If pole fishing can be compared with checkers, she says fly-fishing is a little more like chess.  Susan is owner of the Southern Brookies Fly Fishing Resort  in Lancaster, Tennessee.
