When you add house to house and join field to field sometimes there’s not much room left for wildlife.
But on the rare occasion when something settles itself into a nice neighborhood, a street filled with strangers suddenly has an opportunity for community.
We want to thank all the friends and neighbors who send us so many wonderful images of the owls to help us tell their story.
While it’s not unusual for screech owls to nest in urban areas… they are so stealth that it’s a little bit like hiding out in plain sight.
