Radnor World Wetlands Day

Ridding Radnor State Park and Natural Area of non-native plants is an attainable goal.

On the calendar, February 2nd is probably best known as a day set-aside for that sizeable rodent, the ground hog. And while we always want to give homage to the wild life in our world, the second day of the second month is also World Wetlands Day. The two-day World Wetlands event allowed park staff and volunteers to remove thousands of non-native species as well as collect over 400 pounds of trash. Each year it is sorted and recycled or disposed of appropriately. Episode 3902
