Pine Snake Study

We’ll go hunting in a West Tennessee Forest in search of wildlife with a seriously uncertain future.

Hi friends… welcome to the Wild Side… I’m Steve Hall

The world of wildife continues to be a shrinking one.

Years ago, any glimpse of wild animals, with the exception of birds, would mostly be out in the woods. These days, it’s not unusual to see turkey or deer even with their babies crossing our yards.

Destruction of their habitat is identified as a primary reason. So it has become important to study animal life and their populations because their future and consequently ours is at risk.

There’s a lot more to know about Pine Snakes and efforts to protect them. Jesse has something he wants to make absolutely clear. Instead of being afraid of snakes… he says it makes more sense to fear the possibility of losing them.
