Paddling Safety

East Nashville Magnet School students step out of the classroom and into a kayak for an unforgettable outdoor adventure.

A grant through the American Canoe Association, which was funded through the United States Coast Guard, makes it possible to promote safe paddling skills and education in certain cities cited as having a high rate of drowning.  Nashville was one of those cities.  The grant allows students at East Nashville Magnet School to get out of the classroom and onto the water.
