Night Riders at Port Royal

A re-enactment of a historic night of conflict and trouble all related to a controversial crop.

Hi friends… welcome to the Wild Side… I’m Steve Hall

We have a report of a fight among farmers… resulting in the shooting of two men… and a viscous attack on two others by masked intruders.

If that sounds like a different kind of Wild Side than you typically see on our show… well, it’s not really.

It involves a short hike… and it’s all about a cultivated natural resource.

It was certainly a night of terror at the place now known as Port Royal Historic State Park… but in these modern times, it was a chance for night time adventure and to learn a lot about some mostly forgotten history.
