The Environmental Protection Agency describes wetlands as unique ecosystems where water covers the soil… supporting a diverse range of plant and wildlife.
But it’s no secret wetlands are continuously vanishing… taking clean water, food production and flood protection with them. So… the place we are about to visit seems… out of the ordinary.
Murfree Spring and its wetlands are an unusual downtown attraction, for sure.
And so far, government leaders have been committed to keeping it and protecting it.
