We often measure storms by the number of victims, the power outages, and the physical destruction. But the trauma is far more reaching to family, friends, coworkers…anybody who has loved ones in the midst of the turmoil.
Two days before we were scheduled to meet with the organizers of a mountain biking program in Knoxville, Hurricane Helene destroyed most everything in its path from North Carolina to East Tennessee..
It seemed only appropriate that the program be postponed. But mountain bikers are resilient…a trait now being passed on to a younger generation.
Little Bellas was launched in 2007 in Williston, Vermont… and has expanded into more than 60 communities across the nation.
