And a combination of factors threatensto destroy the world’s coral reefs that are counted on for the economy, the ecosystem, and even for our health.
It’s no surprise that multiple agencies from the federal government are working to find a solution. But even landlocked entities, including the Nashville Zoo, have been marshaled in to help.
Basically, the lab reproduction of coral is intended to accelerate recovery… or as NOAA’s Jennifer Koss puts it… just trying to give Mother Nature a little boost.
