There seems to be two types of people on the Fourth of July…those who know exactly how they’re going to celebrate freedom…and those who are looking around for an adventure.
Tennessee State Parks caters to both.
Family and friends frequently flock to the parks for annual outings and then there are others who just show for the first time to see what they can find.
We found an amazing historic canoe trip. And because many others found fishing and swimming first, we get to take you on an exclusive trip down the Duck River in Manchester.
Each park in the state system has activities and events you can find online. Most of them are incredibly affordable. The two-hour canoe trip, with everything provided except drinking water and sunscreen, is only $10.
