Breeding at Nashville Zoo

There is so much going on behind the scenes.

By one estimate, there are 8.7 million animal species in the world.  Going to visit a zoo is often the best way to see some of them. But even then, not everything is out in plain site.

At the Nashville Zoo… a mission of conservation with endangered species is intended to get results… not necessarily the spotlight.

The Nashville Zoo provides a breeding ground for the endangered animals… but the scientists there can’t go it alone. They are working closely with U.S. Fish and Wildlife and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, along with researchers from Tennessee State University and Lee University.
