Bell Ringer Trail Run

Trekking through the tough terrain at Montgomery Bell State Park gives these athletes a challenging feat for their feet.

We know some folks who are all revved up and ready to go. They are trail runners, athletes who prefer the challenges of changing terrain and rugged beauty to the monotony of open asphalt. Wild Side Guide Eve Annunziato takes us to the inaugural Bell Ringer Trail Run at beautiful Montgomery Bell State Park, where determined runners tested themselves over marathon and ultramarathon distances.

You can learn more about the Bell Ringer and get updates on upcoming races by following their Facebook page. The race is just one of many events, including more trail runs, planned at state parks to help encourage healthier lifestyles.
