Bat Tracking

Endangered bats are on the move and biologists from The Nature Conservancy and U-S Fish and Wildlife are busy chasing them in an ongoing effort to help them survive.

Bats can be scary creatures when you see their sharp, threatening teeth… hear their menacing screech…and especially if you buy into any of the dark comic book or old Hollywood hype…  which wrongly gives bats a bit of a bad rap.

When you look at bats from a scientific standpoint… bats are among our best friends… helping protect our food supplies… and feeding on insects that carry diseases.

So it shouldn’t be any surprise that federal, state, and non-profit biologists strongly believe that bats must be protected.  That can require very close encounters… and even a chase scene!
