It’s a high-tech, equal opportunity event, that’s extremely competitive and the largest one of its kind in the United States. The Montgomery Bell Academy’s Rifle Classic here in Tennessee opens the scholastic shooting season and brings high school students together from over a dozen states. The students compete against each other shooting at a target no larger than the tip of a pencil. And, as Wildside Guide Annette Nole Hall tells us, there’s more than a championship at stake for these young marksmen.
