Old Timer’s Day

Old Timer’s Day performers have taken their careers beyond the mountains of Tennessee all the way to Carnegie Hall.

Music, like laughter, can be a medicine. It soothes the beast within, inspires, entertains and comforts us. Whether you like Taylor or Garth, Beyonce or Beaver, Elvis or the Beatles, Beethoven or Mozart…music crosses barriers between us.
So maybe we shouldn’t be surprised to see teenagers drawn to the Old Time Music presented every Labor Day weekend right here at Pickett State Park near Jamestown. All we have to do is pull up a chair and listen to the sounds of Tennessee tradition in a natural amphitheater.
