From Crops to Conservation

President Lyndon Johnson expressed many years ago that“the best fertilizer for a piece of land is the footprints of its owners.  There are a lot of footprints on the Wright family farm land in West Tennessee.   Fields that once held rows of crops are now growing wild, with birds and game animals back on the property.  This came about because of a calculated decision by the family to make some changes.  Landowner Joe Wright was honored as “Conservationist of the Year” in 2014 by the Tennessee Wildlife Federation.  The Wright family was advised by Brittney Viers of Quail Forever.
