Just Fishing

While catching a trophy fish is always fun, sometimes you just can't beat a day spent out on the water with a good friend...just fishing.

Bigger and better are two words that reflect the state of fishing in Tennessee, partly because there are so many great places for anglers go, including eighteen public lakes that are stocked and managed to give all of us a pretty good chance at catching something. Sounds like the sort of place Wild Side Guide Joey Monteleone and his fishing partner Doug Markham just can’t resist.

Eight of the TWRA managed fishing lakes are in Middle Tennessee, with the rest located in West Tennessee. They’re all perfect places for both seasoned or beginning anglers because they’re stocked with lots of fish to catch…and eat!
