Wild Side Earns Three Emmy Nominations

Released on December 27, 2013

Three more Emmy Award nominations have been added to the long list of accolades for Wild Side, produced by the television production team of the Jackson Foundation at The Renaissance Center. The nominations are in the categories of Informational/Instructional Series, Photography and Writing.

“What really stands out to me is that we are receiving this recognition for the creation of programming with real value and meaning,” says Doug Jackson, president and chief executive officer of The Jackson Foundation. “The competition is intense with major television stations and production companies submitting their best work each year. I think it’s remarkable that our small production group is consistently recognized for excellence in this challenging, professional environment. It’s really a statement to their hard work and talent.”

The Nashville/Midsouth chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is fifth largest of the 19 chapters in the nation, following New York, San Francisco/Northern California, Chicago/Midwest, and Lone Star.

This is the 28th Mid-South Regional Emmy Award competition. Over the past 14 years, Wild Side has won seven Emmy Awards from the Mid-South Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for Magazine Program, Magazine Series, Writing, and Photography. Winners of Emmy Awards from this year’s nominees will be announced at the Emmy Gala Banquet and Live Telecast at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, January 25, 2014.
